Is it safe to put 2 external hard drives by each other while they are both on?
I have 2 Maxtor One Touch external hard drives. Is it okay if they are side by side while they are both on?

Yep – no problem.
Many external drives are designed to stack together and you won’t get any electrical interference between them because they are electrically shielded.

There’s only one way to find out. . .

Yup but they may get hot, be weary, but you should be fine.

of course! you shouldn’t have any trouble with them side by side, as long as you don’t knock them over or something.

Simple answer Yes, you can put 2 external drives together, side by side, one on top of the other, which ever suits your needs. All external hard drives are shielded so no interference. I have 2x seagate 1Tb drives side by side and have had no problems.

Yeah, it’s not like trying to put pepperoni and sausage on the same pizza (they fight).
