Maybe even 2 (one for added memory and one for backup. ) I do a lot of digital photography myself, and I also download tons movies and music from the web and that tends to eat up a lot of memory from my computer. I'm rocking two 320 GB Western Digital External Hard Drives and one 500GB Western DIgital External Drive, plus I have a 320GB Rock Portable hard drive so I could take my music and movies to go on my laptop. So if you do the math, I have well over 1 terabyte of memory. One 500GB external drive would suffice for you though I think. If you're looking to buy them in stores like Best Buy or Circuit City, I would suggest trying online first like on eBay. Often times Best Buy will over price their external drives.
