You need the same administrator password as you had before.  If your friends is XP home, I really dont think you can do it, cause its a totally different login type. . . but try it anyway.  You have to logon in safe mode as administrator in home edition.In the future, DONT RUN YOUR EVERY DAY ACTIVITIES USING THE ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT!!! Create an individual LIMITED account.
