How can I get my computer to recognize my Maxtor external hard drive?
I recently formatted my computer, before which point I was happily using my drive. After formatting, my computer doesn't even suggest that it's attached. Checked out many forums and can't find an answer. Any ideas?
I'm using Windows XP Professional SP3. The drive should be plug and play, and was the first time I used it, however now my computer just doesn't recognize it at all. =(

The drive is plug and play. So without info on the OS you are using I’m crippled
