HDD media player external instead of internal hard drive?
I am buying a 2.5 SATA HDD media player from ebay. It doesnt include a hard drive so that means i have to get one seperatley. But do HDD media players support external hard drives instead of internal via USB? I have a WD Passport external hard drive and was wondering if I could use that instead of buying an internal one.

Some media players support an external hard drive. Check the manual of the media player you are buying.

open up th WD passport and check the connection type, if it’s not SATA then you will need a converter, should be available on ebay.
