    Most hard drives wont need a driver, or if they do it is on the hard drive itself. Tell windows to search the external hard drive for the drivers. (If it simply isn’t working without drivers)

    That should be plug and play on the USB port. Since it is a mass storage device on the USB port, it is actually using Microsoft provided drivers under Windows System 32.
