Accessing External Hard Drive Help? Priceless Data?
I have four external Western Digital(My Book) 1-terabyte hard drives, and last night i tried to access one of them and it says access is denied. I have used a couple of different programs to scan the hard drive, it scans them fine but i still cant access the drive. I would really appreciate any advice.

download ubuntu. burn it to disk. put it in the computer and restart the computer. boot from CD. go with all the Default settings. When the desktop comes up you will see 3 tabs at the top click on places. the goto the bottem of that menu and click on your drive. It will open it. This is a live cd. it does not change anything on your computer.

first you dothis install winrar . . i know its compression utility but helps alot in sneeking access denied hard disk. . .
now open it and try to move to the desired drive which is locked if still its not possible to acess to it than
use active partion recovery/active file recovery. . . .
as u told acess is denied it seems its a manace done by some trojan or virus so install some good anti virus and try to scan the drive
